Crimsafe was able to provide a solution for project designers who required an outdoor sanctuary that fosters relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances mental stimulation while ensuring the necessary level of security, safety, and compliance with building codes.

Crimsafe installation required meticulous planning, design, and precision to eliminate any potential gaps or ligature points that could pose a risk to patients.  

Utilising the Commercial Window profile, forty-one triangular, custom-made Crimsafe security screens were strategically placed to enclose the outdoor lounge on two sides, delivering a robust and protective solution with superior strength. The solution offered energy efficiency benefits, assisting the facility in reducing its carbon footprint by eliminating the need for temperature control within the space. 

The bespoke screen design complements the building’s façade externally, creating a unique focal point from the streetscape. This thoughtful approach challenges conventional perceptions of hospitals and mental health facilities, enhancing the patient experience and community perception.
